Paris street art

Paris is embracing the creative spirit of the upcoming Olympics with nearly 30 vibrant street art pieces showcased across metro stations, a billboard at the airport, and city hall. Notable works include depictions of French fencer Ysaora Thibus and canoers on the Seine, reflecting the energetic atmosphere brought by international visitors. The initiative, led by Visa to support small businesses, features contributions from six renowned street artists from around the globe, including JonOne, whose large mural at the Palais Royal station spans 300 square yards. The artworks aim to capture the essence of youth culture and will be on display until September 8. Meanwhile, Montmartre remains a historical beacon for artists, with the iconic Sacré-Coeur Basilica attracting tourists and locals alike, noted for its unique stone structure that stays brilliantly white. The basilica not only serves as a stunning landmark but also hosts regular Masses, maintaining its role as an active place of worship.
