NSW Launches Nine EV-Friendly Road Trips

The New South Wales (NSW) Government has launched nine electric vehicle (EV)-friendly road trips equipped with strategically placed charging stations, addressing range anxiety and promoting sustainable tourism. Each route, ranging from 171km to 819km, features at least two fast-charging plugs and one destination charging plug per 100km, allowing EV drivers to explore popular destinations across the state. The initiative has been welcomed by Electric Vehicle Council CEO Julie Delvecchio, who emphasized the importance of tackling range anxiety to boost EV adoption. Funding for the initiative aligns with the government's broader commitment to support the installation of thousands of EV charging ports across NSW, with a focus on ultra-fast charging stations. This effort is part of a larger trend to enhance EV infrastructure as financial incentives for purchasing electric cars diminish. The program aims to encourage travelers to support local businesses and attractions along these scenic routes.
