CIA Officer Sentenced for Global Sexual Assaults

Former CIA officer Brian Jeffrey Raymond, 48, has been sentenced to 30 years in federal prison for drugging, sexually assaulting, and photographing over two dozen women across multiple countries. Between 2006 and 2020, Raymond lured women to his government-leased apartments, drugged them, and assaulted them while they were unconscious, documenting the abuse with photographs and videos. His arrest in 2020 followed an incident in Mexico City, where a naked woman was seen screaming for help from his balcony. Raymond pleaded guilty to four federal counts, including sexual abuse and transportation of obscene material, admitting to creating obscene material depicting 28 women without their knowledge. The court has ordered him to pay restitution to his victims and serve a lifetime of supervised release after his prison term. The case has raised significant concerns about sexual misconduct within the CIA.
