Suspect Charged With Murder in Delaware City Shooting

On July 7, 2025, 22-year-old Shane Brank was charged with first-degree murder after allegedly shooting and killing 39-year-old Craig Anderson during an altercation at the Delaware City Trailer Park. Police reported that Brank retrieved a firearm and shot Anderson multiple times, and Anderson died despite emergency aid. Brank fled, prompting an extensive manhunt that included helicopters, K-9 units, drones, SWAT teams, road closures, and a shelter-in-place advisory for residents. He was apprehended without further incident around 1:10 p.m. in the backyard of a nearby home. Brank is being held on $560,000 cash bail at Howard Young Correctional Institution.
