Dozens Injured in Strasbourg Tram Collision

On Saturday, two trams collided in a tunnel near Strasbourg's main train station, injuring about 50 people, although none critically. The collision occurred during the afternoon, and emergency services responded with 130 firefighters and 50 rescue vehicles. René Cellier, director of the Bas-Rhin Fire and Rescue Service, reported injuries including scalp wounds and fractures, while an additional 100 individuals were evaluated for shock.
