Palla Raises $14.5M Series A for Instant Cross-Border Payments

Palla, a Miami-based fintech platform that enables instant cross-border payments for global financial institutions and fintech firms, has raised $14.5 million in a Series A funding round led by Revolution Ventures with participation from notable investors including Y Combinator and Cowboy Ventures. The platform allows financial institutions to embed real-time international payments directly within their native applications or via Palla’s hosted infrastructure, providing a seamless, branded experience for end users without requiring separate apps. With partnerships established with over 30 financial institutions across Latin America and the Caribbean, Palla aims to broaden payment corridors and expand globally, targeting an end-customer base of more than 150 million individuals. Palla's CEO Enrique Perezalonso highlighted the company’s mission to simplify and secure cross-border transfers while maintaining low transaction fees, offering competitive foreign exchange markups significantly below traditional remittance costs. The funding will also support new product lines and money-movement mechanisms as Palla continues to scale, with new board members including David Golden of Revolution Ventures and former JPMorgan International President Heidi Miller joining to guide growth. This behind-the-scenes infrastructure approach, embedding directly into banks’ digital channels, reduces customer acquisition costs and positions Palla as a low-cost, efficient player in the international payments space.
