Nationals Sign Amed Rosario to One-Year Deal

The Washington Nationals have signed infielder Amed Rosario to a one-year, $2 million contract, as confirmed by Jon Heyman and various reports. Rosario, a former New York Mets top prospect, has played for several teams, including the Cleveland Guardians, Los Angeles Dodgers, Tampa Bay Rays, and Cincinnati Reds, after being traded by the Mets in the Francisco Lindor deal. In 2024, he played 103 games across three teams, posting a .280/.306/.380 batting line with three home runs and 13 stolen bases. Despite his declining power, Rosario remains a valuable asset due to his speed, ranking in the 91st percentile in sprint speed last season.
