Mystik Dan Competes in Malibu Stakes at Santa Anita

Santa Anita Park kicked off its 90th anniversary season with the opening day featuring the reigning Kentucky Derby champion, Mystik Dan, who competed in the $300,000 Grade One Malibu Stakes. Despite being the favorite, Mystik Dan finished last in the race, struggling after moving down from longer distances. Raging Torrent won the Malibu Stakes, marking his second stakes victory, and earned $180,000 for his performance.
