Oliver Healthcare Packaging Opens Largest Asia-Pacific Manufacturing Facility in Johor

Oliver Healthcare Packaging has inaugurated its largest manufacturing facility in the Asia-Pacific region, a 120,000-square-foot plant located in Johor, Malaysia, within the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone. This state-of-the-art facility, equipped with ISO 13845, ISO-7, and ISO-8 certified cleanrooms, will produce medical-grade packaging such as pouches, lids, and roll stock to meet the growing demands of pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers in the region. The new plant is expected to enhance in-region sourcing, build supply chain resilience, and create jobs across quality, engineering, logistics, and supply chain functions. Oliver's regional operations also include facilities in Suzhou, China, and a technical center in Singapore, where customers collaborate directly with packaging experts. The company emphasizes sustainability in the new facility with features like auto-sensor LED lighting and rainwater harvesting, along with processes focused on waste reduction. Executives highlight that Asia-Pacific is becoming a hub for medical manufacturing, with Malaysia hosting the highest concentration of medical device manufacturing sites in the region, thus positioning Oliver to better serve its expanding customer base.
