Ariana Grande Discusses Nickelodeon Exploitation in Docuseries

Ariana Grande has revealed her shock at inappropriate content in her Nickelodeon shows, Sam & Cat and Victorious, during her docuseries Quiet On Set. In an interview with Vanity Fair, she discussed how the series brought to light disturbing scenes that 'sexualized' young performers, admitting, "You don’t remember some of it... and you’re like, 'Wait, that happened?'" Grande emphasized the need for a safer working environment for all artists, advocating for therapy to be included in contracts for major label signings, stating, "You should have support on the mental side because it’s not normal." The docuseries has also triggered investigations into alleged misconduct in the network, particularly regarding showrunner Dan Schneider. Grande expressed concern about the lack of support for young performers, highlighting the mental challenges of sudden fame.
