Isak Andic, the founder of the global fashion brand Mango, tragically passed away at the age of 71 after a hiking accident in the Montserrat caves near Barcelona. The accident occurred as Andic fell from a 150-meter cliff while hiking with family members. Andic, originally from Istanbul, moved to Barcelona in the 1960s and founded Mango in 1984, growing it into one of the world's leading fashion retailers with operations in over 120 markets and a turnover of 3.1 billion euros in 2023. His death marks a significant loss for the fashion industry, with many noting his strategic vision and leadership that helped Mango succeed globally.
