Yungblud Releases Fourth Album 'Idols' With Global Impact

English singer-songwriter YUNGBLUD, also known as Dominic Harrison, released his fourth studio album, 'Idols,' as a double album with the first part out in June 2025 and the second expected in October. After initially shelving the project due to commercial pressures and outside opinions, YUNGBLUD reclaimed creative control by collaborating solely with longtime partner Matt Schwartz, focusing on authenticity and emotional honesty rather than mainstream appeal. He aimed to create a timeless body of work, contrasting with the contemporary trend of fleeting, surface-level music, and described 'Idols' as a reflection on human connection, heroism, and the complexities of life. The album's lead single, "Hello Heaven, Hello," features a nearly 10-minute runtime and was accompanied by a visually expressive music video. YUNGBLUD emphasized that 'Idols' represents a new artistic phase, moving away from his prior image while exploring themes of truth, vulnerability, and the human experience, highlighted by collaborations such as with actress Florence Pugh on the song "Zombie." He is also expanding his engagement with fans through initiatives like creating physical fan spaces, including a flagship building in London.
