Abdirahman Irro Elected President of Somaliland

Abdirahman Abdillahi Irro of the Waddani Party has been elected as the new President of Somaliland, winning 63.92% of the votes in the election held on November 13, which saw a 53% voter turnout. Incumbent President Muse Bihi Abdi received 34.81% of the votes, while the UCID Party saw its support diminish significantly.
