Utah man executed

Taberon Dave Honie, 48, was executed by lethal injection in Utah for the 1998 murder of Claudia Benn, marking the state's first execution since 2010. Honie, who admitted to being inebriated during the crime, brutally killed Benn in front of her grandchildren, including his own daughter. After numerous failed appeals, the Utah Board of Pardons and Parole denied his request for clemency, with family members of the victim advocating for his execution. Honie described himself as a 'monster' and expressed remorse, stating he would not have committed the crime had he been sober. His last meal consisted of a cheeseburger, fries, and a milkshake, and he spent his final hours with family.
