Merck Launches M-Trust Cyber-Physical Platform

Merck KGaA has launched a beta version of M-Trust, a pioneering cyber-physical trust platform designed to address product safety, traceability, and counterfeiting challenges. The platform utilizes advanced Web 3.0 technology to create digital twins, enabling businesses to enhance product quality and authenticity by linking physical items to their digital identities through crypto anchor technologies. Laura Matz, Chief Science & Technology Officer, emphasized the need for increased transparency and safety in industrial value chains amid tightening regulations. M-Trust aims to streamline quality control processes by integrating human capabilities into efficient machine-to-machine interactions and facilitating the use of smart contracts for data verification.
