Ballerina Michaela DePrince and Mother Die Days Apart

The ballet world mourns the sudden loss of Michaela Mabinty DePrince, who passed away at the age of 29 on September 10, followed by the tragic death of her adoptive mother, Elaine DePrince, just one day later. Elaine died on September 11 during a routine medical procedure prior to surgery, unaware of her daughter's passing. Family spokesperson Jessica Volinski confirmed that the two deaths were unrelated, stating that Elaine had previously lost three children and was spared the pain of losing a fourth. Michaela, born in Sierra Leone and raised in New Jersey, gained fame for her performances, including a notable role in Beyoncé's 'Lemonade.'
