American Music Awards 50th Anniversary Special Announced

The American Music Awards 50th Anniversary Special, airing on October 6, will feature performances from a star-studded lineup including Brad Paisley, Chaka Khan, Gladys Knight, Green Day, Jennifer Hudson, Kane Brown, Mariah Carey, Raye, and Stray Kids. Highlights include Brad Paisley honoring Charley Pride and Chaka Khan celebrating 50 years of female artists with her anthem 'I’m Every Woman'. Gladys Knight will perform 'Midnight Train to Georgia', 50 years after her original performance at the first AMAs, while Green Day will showcase their latest hit 'Dilemma'. Jennifer Hudson will pay tribute to Whitney Houston, and Mariah Carey will celebrate the 20th anniversary of her album 'The Emancipation of Mimi' with a medley of hits. The event aims to celebrate half a century of music and pop culture history and will be broadcast live on CBS and Paramount+.
