Briscoe Team Penalized for Illegal Spoiler

Chase Briscoe and his team received significant penalties from NASCAR after a post-race inspection of the No. 19 car revealed an illegal modification to the spoiler base, a single-source part that cannot be altered. As a result, Briscoe was docked 100 driver points and 10 playoff points, dropping him from 10th to 39th in the standings with negative 67 points. The team also faced a $100,000 fine and lost 100 owner points, while crew chief James Small was suspended for four races. The team plans to appeal, citing assembly process issues as the cause of the modification. Similar penalties were applied to other teams for different violations. This marks the second major penalty for Briscoe's team in recent seasons, following a previous infraction in 2023.
