Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah and Arsenal midfielder Mariona Caldentey were named the men's and women's Professional Footballers’ Association Players of the Year for the 2025/26 season. Salah made history as the first male player to win the award three times, scoring 29 goals and providing 18 assists to help Liverpool claim their first Premier League title since 2020. Caldentey, in her first season in English football, scored 19 goals across all competitions and played a key role in Arsenal's Champions League victory over her former club Barcelona. Aston Villa's Morgan Rogers and Arsenal's Olivia Smith were honored as the men's and women's Young Players of the Year, respectively. Salah's Liverpool teammates Virgil van Dijk, Ryan Gravenberch, and Alexis Mac Allister also featured in the PFA Premier League Team of the Year alongside notable players from Arsenal, Bournemouth, and Nottingham Forest. The awards underscore standout performances across English football, highlighting both established stars and emerging talents.
