Utah Man Arrested for Throwing Puppies from Car Killing Two

Memphis Lor, a 25-year-old man from Utah, was arrested on multiple counts of animal cruelty after allegedly throwing six three-week-old puppies from his car window while driving at highway speeds on US-89. Two of the puppies died, one was seriously injured, two were unharmed, and one remains missing. Lor admitted to dropping the puppies because he believed it would be easier to get rid of them and that it would be an easier death. Additionally, he abandoned the puppies' severely malnourished mother on the roadside. Witnesses who found the scattered puppies on the highway helped law enforcement identify Lor, and the mother and surviving puppies are now receiving medical care. Lor has been released from jail with conditions to appear in court and not commit further crimes as investigations continue.
