Chicago experienced a violent weekend with at least 13 people shot and five fatalities reported. The incidents included a drive-by shooting that killed a 16-year-old boy and injured two others in the North Rockwell Street area, and a fatal shooting of a 34-year-old man outside a grocery store in Old Town. Other notable incidents include a 44-year-old man fatally shot in Bronzeville and a 49-year-old man discovered with multiple gunshot wounds. Additionally, a shooting at a funeral reception in Blue Island resulted in three injuries, one critical. Authorities are actively investigating, but no suspects are in custody yet.
