Ohio Couple Sentenced to Life for Child Rape

Kristina Jacobson, a 39-year-old woman from Akron, Ohio, was sentenced to life in prison without parole after being convicted of raping an infant and other child sex crimes, including rape, illegal use of a minor or impaired person in nudity-oriented material or performance, and gross sexual imposition. Prosecutors described her actions as 'abhorrent' and highlighted her abuse of a vulnerable child. Her husband and co-defendant, Scott Jacobson, age 45, was previously sentenced to life without parole after pleading guilty to multiple counts of rape, pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor, and gross sexual imposition involving at least two children under 13. Both have been designated as Tier III sex offenders, requiring lifetime registration and monitoring. The crimes reportedly occurred between December 2011 and May 2024. Authorities stated that their behavior involved not only abuse but also the production and distribution of illegal material.
