Taiwan Conducts Largest Han Kuang Drills Amid Increased Chinese Incursions

Taiwan has significantly increased its military readiness in response to escalating Chinese military activities and invasion threats. The annual Han Kuang military exercises in July 2025 were the longest and most extensive yet, lasting 10 days and involving over 22,000 reservists, with the deployment of advanced U.S.-supplied weaponry such as Abrams tanks and High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems.
