Growl Secures Funding for AI Boxing Coach

Growl, a new connected fitness startup, is introducing an AI-powered wall-mounted boxing bag that transforms into an interactive at-home boxing and fitness coach. Designed to offer a gamified and immersive workout experience, it features projectors and sensors to display a life-sized virtual trainer and track user movements in 3D, providing real-time feedback. With $4.75 million raised from investors including Skip Capital and UFC's Ciryl Gane, Growl enters the growing $110 billion U.S. fitness market, aiming to cater to the whole family with diverse workout options. The product is expected to open for pre-orders in April 2025, with pricing ranging from $150 to $190 per month, depending on the subscription plan. Combining advanced technology with traditional boxing training, Growl positions itself as a premium fitness solution comparable to Peloton and Tonal.
