Man Charged With Murder in Salisbury Incident

Herman Donald Floyd III, 44, has been charged with first-degree murder following the fatal assault of a 57-year-old woman in a Salisbury, NC parking lot. The incident occurred on Wednesday evening, October 23, when police responded to a call about an assault in progress on Statesville Boulevard. Despite life-saving efforts, the victim succumbed to her injuries at the scene. On the following day, authorities executed a search warrant at Floyd's apartment on Clancy Street, where they found evidence linking him to the homicide. Floyd is currently held without bond at the Rowan County Detention Center, and the investigation is ongoing.
