Houston Zoo Welcomes Baby Elephant Kirby

The San Antonio Zoo welcomed a new baby Francois Langur, born to parents Ravalina and Chay, marking a significant moment for a species listed as endangered. At Colchester Zoo, a baby squirrel monkey was born to Milu and Malcolm; the newborn is the sixth offspring and will stay on its mother's back until it can explore independently. Meanwhile, the Houston Zoo celebrated the birth of a healthy female elephant named Kirby after a lengthy 21-month pregnancy, with both mother and baby currently bonding privately. Kirby was standing shortly after birth and will soon join her siblings at the McNair Asian Elephant Habitat.
