Murder Charge Filed After Pedestrian Death in Essex
Arlind Xhokola, a 26-year-old man from London, was struck and killed by a car near Momples Road in Harlow, with police treating his death as a murder. Jeremy Heath, 50, has been charged with murder and possession of a bladed article, and he appeared in court on Wednesday, remanded until a preliminary hearing. Authorities are investigating a possible link between the fatal collision and the robbery of a Ford Fiesta that occurred shortly before the incident. Xhokola's family described him as a 'friendly, supportive' individual who was well-loved and will be deeply missed. In total, five arrests have been made in connection to the investigation, with detectives currently not seeking anyone else. The community has rallied around Xhokola's family as they mourn his tragic loss.
