A LEGO display collapsed at a children's New Year’s Eve celebration at the In the Game arcade in Peabody, Massachusetts, injuring ten people, including six children. The incident occurred when staff attempted to release balloons that were entangled in a net, causing an eight-foot display to fall approximately 12 feet onto the crowd. The Peabody Fire Department confirmed that eight individuals were transported to the hospital for minor injuries such as cuts and scrapes, while two others declined medical attention. Eyewitness Lawren Turco described the scene as 'pure chaos,' with children crying and adults suffering injuries. Officials initially misreported the event as a ceiling collapse, but later clarified it was a display that fell due to balloon-related mishandling. The arcade has stated they are cooperating with authorities following the incident.
