Colorado Springs Police Arrest Suspect in Two October Bank Robberies
Maurice Keener, 47, was arrested by Colorado Springs Police on Tuesday after being linked to two bank robberies that occurred in October. The first robbery took place on October 8 in downtown Colorado Springs, and the second on October 20 at a bank in the 400 block of South Cascade Avenue. Keener was found at the 1100 block of Interquest Parkway and taken into custody following a short foot pursuit. Police executed a search warrant at his hotel room, where they found evidence connecting him to both crimes. The amount of money stolen in the October 20 robbery has not been disclosed. Investigations into the bank robberies are ongoing.
