Indian Shooters' Near-Miss at Paris Olympics

Indian shooters Maheshwari Chauhan and Anant Jeet Singh Naruka narrowly missed out on a historic bronze medal in the skeet mixed team event at the Paris 2024 Olympics, finishing fourth with a score of 43 against China's 44. The duo showcased strong performances in the qualification rounds, both scoring 74, and aggregating 146 points to set up a bronze medal match against China. Despite their commendable skill and teamwork, China managed to edge them out in a closely contested match. Manu Bhaker won two bronze medals, while Vijayveer Sidhu and Anish Bhanwala finished 9th and 13th in the men's 25m rapid fire pistol event, and Maheshwari Chauhan and Raiza Dhillon finished 14th and 23rd in women's skeet.
