Atrocities Revealed at Saydnaya Prison in Syria

Saydnaya Prison, notorious for its horrific human rights abuses under Bashar al-Assad's regime, has been described as a 'human slaughterhouse' where thousands suffered torture, executions, and inhumane conditions. Amnesty International and survivors report that detainees faced brutal treatment, including severe beatings, sexual violence, and forced participation in the abuse of fellow inmates. Many prisoners, including children, were held in overcrowded, dark cells and denied basic necessities like food and medical care, leading to countless deaths.
