Thailand mandates online registration for foreign arrivals starting May 1, 2025
Starting May 1, 2025, all foreign nationals entering Thailand will be required to complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) online within three days before arrival, replacing the traditional paper-based TM6 arrival form. The TDAC system is designed to streamline immigration procedures, enhance efficiency, and improve security by allowing border officials to access traveler information in advance. This mandatory digital process applies to all foreigners, regardless of visa status, and includes travelers accompanied by children, with each family member needing a separate form. Upon arrival, travelers must present their TDAC confirmation email alongside their passport and other travel documents at immigration checkpoints. The initiative is part of Thailand's broader efforts to modernize entry procedures and accommodate increasing visitor numbers, with support facilities and staff available at all international airports to assist with the transition. Failure to complete the TDAC will result in denial of entry into Thailand.
