Rush Announces 2026 Fifty Something Tour With New Drummer Anika Nilles Across North America

Legendary Canadian rock band Rush is reuniting for a 2026 world tour titled "Fifty Something," marking their first live performances since the death of drummer Neil Peart in 2020. Founding members Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson will be joined by acclaimed German drummer Anika Nilles, known for her work with Jeff Beck, who will fill Peart's role and bring her own energy to the band. The tour will begin in June 2026 with shows across several North American cities, including Los Angeles, Mexico City, Chicago, New York, Toronto, and Cleveland, featuring multiple performances at each location. Lee and Lifeson emphasize that the tour is a tribute to their legacy and Peart’s memory, with live tributes planned during the shows and potential additions of other musicians to enhance the sound. The band views this comeback as a celebration of over 50 years of Rush music and a heartfelt farewell, sharing their excitement about returning to the stage after a long hiatus. Tickets go on presale in October 2024, with general sales following shortly after.
