Jordie Barrett Out for Bledisloe Cup Test

New Zealand's Jordie Barrett has been ruled out of the upcoming Bledisloe Cup test against Australia due to medial collateral ligament damage sustained during a match last weekend. He limped off at halftime of the All Blacks' 31-28 victory in Sydney and will undergo reassessment before the team’s tour of Japan and Europe starting in late October. Anton Lienert-Brown is expected to replace Barrett, while uncapped Chay Fihaki has been called up for backline cover. Additionally, outside back Ruben Love is unavailable due to injury. Despite their recent struggles, the All Blacks have secured the Bledisloe Cup for another year but cannot retain the Rugby Championship title due to two losses against South Africa and a defeat to Argentina. Barrett is set to join Irish side Leinster at the end of the season as part of a sabbatical from his New Zealand Rugby contract.
