Joliet Police Investigate Overnight Motorcycle Drive-By Shooting Wounding Two Men
Two men, aged 36 and 44, were shot early Monday morning near 5 North Broadway Street in Joliet in a drive-by shooting from a passing motorcycle. The 36-year-old suffered two gunshot wounds to the right leg, while the 44-year-old was shot in the right ankle; both were treated at the scene and transported to St. Joseph Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. Police recovered spent shell casings at the scene but have not yet identified a suspect or established a motive. Authorities are asking the public for any video footage or information related to the incident and have provided contact numbers for the Joliet Police Department and Will County Crime Stoppers. Additionally, Joliet police are investigating two other recent shootings on Vine Street and Des Plaines Street, where no injuries were reported but multiple shell casings were found. These ongoing investigations underscore a recent pattern of gun violence in the Joliet area, with police actively seeking community assistance to solve these cases.
