Disney Launches Office of Technology Enablement

Disney has announced the formation of a new strategic unit, the Office of Technology Enablement, to manage and coordinate the company's use of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence and mixed reality. Jamie Voris, previously the CTO of Disney's film studios, will lead the unit, which aims to explore emerging technologies and integrate them into Disney's broader strategic goals without centralizing existing projects. The initiative, led by Disney Entertainment Co-Chairman Alan Bergman, highlights the company's commitment to staying at the forefront of technological innovation while ensuring responsible and ethical practices. With plans to expand the team to approximately 100 employees, the unit will support various divisions across Disney, including film, television, and theme parks, in leveraging these technologies to enhance consumer experiences.
