Chelsea Close to £44m Joao Felix Transfer to Al Nassr
Chelsea is in the process of offloading Portuguese forward Joao Felix to Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr, with a transfer fee reported to be around €50 million. Felix, who joined Chelsea permanently from Atletico Madrid for about £45 million last summer, struggled to secure a starting position and spent part of last season on loan at AC Milan. Al-Nassr, managed by Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus and home to Cristiano Ronaldo, have agreed to a deal that includes add-ons and a sell-on clause benefiting Chelsea for any future transfers. Felix's departure is expected to free up funds for Chelsea to pursue other attacking signings, including RB Leipzig's Xavi Simons and Alejandro Garnacho, while the club also manages other player exits and loans such as Kendry Paez to Strasbourg. Although Benfica showed interest in re-signing Felix, Al-Nassr's offer and Felix's desire to join Ronaldo were decisive factors. The move marks a significant squad adjustment under Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca as the club aims to reshape its attacking options.
