Bloomfield Motorcyclist Arrested After Posting 190 MPH Videos

Brice Bennett, a 22-year-old from Bloomfield, was arrested on April 8 for reckless driving after state police discovered videos of him riding his motorcycle at excessive speeds across Connecticut. The investigation was prompted by multiple complaints, including an anonymous tip to the governor’s office, leading to the Central District Major Crimes Squad's involvement. Despite Bennett's claims in the videos that they were filmed in Mexico, police identified Connecticut locations, including I-91 in Hartford and Wallingford, where he allegedly reached speeds over 190 mph. Authorities utilized social media subpoenas to confirm his identity through footage showing his face and the motorcycle. Bennett was charged with reckless driving, failure to maintain a lane, and first-degree reckless endangerment, and was released on a $5,000 bond, with a court date set for April 29.
