Amber Alert for Miami Gardens Boy, Mother Sought

A statewide Amber Alert has been issued for 9-year-old Liam Smith, last seen in the 17700 block of Northwest 14th Avenue in Miami Gardens, Florida. Smith, a Black male, four feet tall with black hair and a scab under his eye, was reportedly taken by his non-custodial mother, 45-year-old Tameeka Budwah. He was last seen wearing a light blue school uniform shirt, dark blue pants, and black shoes. Authorities believe Budwah and Smith may be traveling northbound in a 2024 black Honda Civic with Florida tag RJVL88. Smith is classified as endangered. Anyone with information should contact the Miami Gardens Police Department or the Florida Department of Law Enforcement immediately.
