Suspect Extradited in El Taiger Murder Case

Damian Valdez Galloso, the suspect in the murder of popular Cuban reggaeton artist El Taiger, has been extradited to Miami after being arrested in New York. El Taiger, whose real name is Jose Manuel Zaldivar, was found shot in the head on October 3 in a Mercedes Benz near Jackson Memorial Hospital and later died. The Miami-Dade Police Department has taken over the investigation, revealing that the shooting occurred at a house in Hialeah where Galloso was renting. Galloso, a convicted felon and registered sex offender, was charged with second-degree murder, tampering with evidence, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Authorities are collaborating to gather more information, although Galloso has not been granted bond and remains in custody. The motive for the murder remains unclear, and Galloso awaits trial while official charges from Miami-Dade prosecutors are being finalized.
