WeVOIS Secures $4.2 Million in Funding

WeVOIS, a Jaipur-based waste management startup, has secured $4.2 million in Series A funding to enhance its operations and innovate within India's waste management sector. The funding round was led by Negen Capital and Vyom Wealth, with contributions from several other investors. WeVOIS aims to establish a robust waste collection and recycling ecosystem, targeting the creation of 100 zero-waste cities in five years while addressing India's critical waste management challenges. The startup is focusing on sustainable solutions like textile waste recycling facilities and bio-CNG plants to transform wet waste into clean energy. With India generating approximately 62 million tonnes of waste annually and only a small fraction treated, WeVOIS's efforts are seen as essential for a cleaner future. Investors believe that the company's advanced technology, combining IoT and AI, will significantly enhance waste management practices in the country.
