59-Year-Old Man Arrested for Wayne Woodgate Murder

Kent Police have launched a murder investigation following the discovery of a body believed to be that of 54-year-old Wayne Woodgate, who was reported missing after last being seen entering a van in Tunbridge Wells on October 17. The body was found in a rural area of Peasmarsh, East Sussex, on October 23, and while formal identification is pending, Woodgate's family has been notified. A 59-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is currently in custody. Detectives are appealing for dashcam footage from motorists who traveled on the A268 between Peasmarsh and Four Oaks during specific timeframes to assist in the investigation. Detective Chief Inspector Neil Kimber emphasized the importance of obtaining additional visual evidence, including CCTV and doorbell camera recordings.
