Cadillac Joins Formula 1 as 11th Team in 2026

Cadillac, backed by General Motors and TWG Motorsports, will officially join Formula One as the 11th team starting in the 2026 season, following the approval from the FIA and F1. This entry comes after an earlier bid associated with Andretti was rejected; however, Cadillac's stronger commitment led to its acceptance. The team will debut using Ferrari engines while planning to develop its own power units by the end of the decade. F1 President Stefano Domenicali highlighted the significance of this entry as a positive evolution for the sport, emphasizing the fresh energy Cadillac brings in line with new regulations. The team aims to include an American driver, with Colton Herta being a potential candidate.
