Construction Worker Killed by Vehicle at Burnsville I-35W Site

A construction worker was fatally struck by a construction vehicle equipped with a boom attachment in a construction zone on southbound Interstate 35W near Highway 13 in Burnsville. The incident occurred Wednesday morning, with the worker on foot at the time of the accident. No other vehicles were involved, and the location was entirely within the construction zone, not on the main roadway. The truck driver, a 50-year-old man from North Branch, was not injured in the incident. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the fatal accident.
