Celebrity Restaurant in Tulsa Demolished

The iconic Celebrity Restaurant in Tulsa, known for its plush decor and signature dishes like tableside Caesar salad, has been demolished after nearly 60 years in operation. Originally founded in 1963 as a private club to bypass Oklahoma's liquor laws, the restaurant was purchased by the Three Sirens Restaurant group in 2019 but struggled to recover after closing due to the COVID-19 pandemic and staffing shortages. Despite a brief reopening for the holiday season in late 2021, it remained closed since then. Co-owner Johnna Hayes expressed regret over the decision to demolish the building, citing multiple setbacks that hindered their efforts to revitalize the establishment. The fate of the site after the demolition remains uncertain, with no new plans announced by the owners.
