Child Killed, Three Hurt in Donegal Road Crash

A young girl died and three others, including another child, were seriously injured in a collision between a car and a van on the R240 at Carrowmore, Glentogher, Carndonagh, County Donegal, on Wednesday evening. Emergency services responded shortly before 6.30pm, and the injured—a female driver, a male front-seat passenger, and a female child—were taken to Altnagelvin Hospital in Derry. The road remains closed for a technical examination, with local diversions in place. Gardaí have appealed for witnesses or anyone with dash-cam footage from the area between 6pm and 6.30pm to come forward. The identity of the deceased child has not yet been formally released.
