Consumers Energy will conduct an overnight power outage affecting approximately 3,800 customers in Genesee County, Michigan, including Flint and Mount Morris Township, from late November 7th to early November 8th to replace electric lines as part of their Reliability Roadmap to reduce outages. The company scheduled this work during the night to minimize disruption and has communicated with affected residents via mailed postcards. Separately, a large power outage is impacting about 7,300 meters in Union County, Oregon, affecting areas such as La Grande, Island City, and nearby communities, with crews dispatched to restore power as quickly and safely as possible. In Oklahoma City, severe weather including strong winds and rain caused outages for over 4,000 OG&E customers, primarily in Oklahoma City and Edmond, though many have since had power restored. Additionally, an emergency road closure at an OG&E substation in Oklahoma City was reported, though the duration remains uncertain. These events highlight ongoing infrastructure challenges and weather-related power disruptions across multiple U.S. regions.
