Childs and Garrett Convicted in Separate Murder Cases

Raymond Ronald Lee Childs III has been convicted of six counts of murder and one count of attempted murder for the January 2021 shooting deaths of five family members following a dispute about staying out late, including his father, stepmother, sister, brother, and his brother's pregnant girlfriend, while his 15-year-old brother survived. This conviction comes after a previous mistrial and marks a significant moment of justice for the victims and their families. Separately, Richard Garrett was found guilty of multiple felonies, including murder and battery, after a violent crime spree in Indianapolis and Fishers in 2019. Garrett's convictions included charges from a high-speed chase and the shooting of a police K9, resulting in sentences for Garrett and his accomplices, Delance Hatcher and Rashaana Farrow.
