New Remixed Version of Do They Know It's Christmas

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the iconic charity single 'Do They Know It's Christmas?', a new version titled '2024 Ultimate Mix' will be released on November 25, featuring a blend of vocals from previous renditions in 1984, 2004, and 2014. This star-studded collaboration includes contributions from major artists such as Sting, Ed Sheeran, Harry Styles, George Michael, and Bono, and will be produced by Trevor Horn, who was involved in the original recording. The track will premiere on UK breakfast radio, with a CD and vinyl release following on November 29, and proceeds will support the Band Aid Trust. Accompanying the release will be a new video featuring David Bowie introducing the artists. Bob Geldof, a key figure in the original project, emphasized the song's enduring message against greed, reflecting the socio-political context of its inception. The single's previous versions raised considerable funds for famine relief, setting a precedent for charity singles in the years that followed.
