Multiple US Police Seek Missing Vulnerable Men with Dementia, Autism

Multiple police departments across the United States are actively searching for missing individuals with cognitive impairments. In Elgin, Illinois, authorities are looking for Cayden Weber, a 22-year-old man with autism last seen wearing blue Crocs or black Adidas shoes. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is seeking help to locate Vincent Tyrone Byrd, a 63-year-old man with dementia missing since August 25 near Chinatown. In the San Fernando Valley, police issued a Silver Alert for Jorge Mejia, a 59-year-old man with dementia last seen in Sherman Oaks. Authorities in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, are also searching for Michael Copeland, a 64-year-old man with dementia last seen at home wearing a dark t-shirt with a dog and beige pants. Additionally, police in Cortland, New York, are looking for 92-year-old Herbert Robinson, an endangered adult who may require medical attention and was last seen driving a 2023 Toyota Camry.
